Okay, so one piece to be uploaded before con ^^'
This is an old piece I did probably over a year ago [the lineart is over a year old... the coloring was just done five minutes ago ^^']... for the main character in one of my original stories. I had started to draw the comic, but only got four pages into it... But scripted out a lot more pages than that. I have a summary of what I want to be for the main story, but want more sidestories for inbetween. Humorous ones. And I'm not very good at doing those kinds of things ^^'
Background info:
Meet Mal McFee. College freshman, and not popular at all. She would have failing grades in all her subjects, if it weren't for her roommate, Eli. She would also be dead if it weren't for Eli.
The two have grown up together, starting ever since they were small children. But during their high school years, Mal started to fall into awful depressions, which only Eli was able to bring her out of. So when they went off to college, their parents signed agreements with the school that the two could share a room together.
Whenever Mal fails a paper and comes back to the room, Eli always fixes her papers for her while she's passed out. Such a great guy... Hard to find them anymore....
Mal starts to become so desperate about changing her life, that she wishes to hard to become someone else. When she wakes up in the morning, both her roommate and herself are shocked to find that she isn't who she was anymore......
The Story:
"A Week in Paradise" plays on some peoples biggest dreams, and possibly one of mine as well. If you really could become someone physically different than you, someone who people would never think was you, how would you change your life? Mal gets a taste of her own medicine when she makes this wish so hard, that it comes true. Comedy ensues.... Love is found.. and lost..... And... yaoi?
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
